RealeWriter (“Really Writer”)

RealeWriter Pro Features:

Throughout the free RealeWriter interface, there are features marked with the “PRO” label. These features are available to users who purchase a RealeWriter Pro license and activate RealeWriter Pro on their computer.

When you purchase a RealeWriter Pro Single User License, you may install the activation code on up to three (3) computers under your direct control, such as in your household.

A RealeWriter Pro School Site License allows you to install the activation code on all computers at a particular school site. It also includes one year of RealeLibrary hosting.

Basic RealeWriter is FREE!

Let us reiterate that we are very happy to have you as a free RealeWriter user if you don’t need the RealeWriter Pro features yet. We have had several schools that used and incorporated the free RealeWriter into their curricula for one or two years before upgrading to RealeWriter Pro.

List of RealeWriter Pro Features:

Sheet, Half-Sheet, Classic, Mid, Pocket, Flyer sized printing. With free RealeWriter, these RealeBook sizes are printed with a watermark.
Hiding the Back Cover logo on printed RealeBooks.
Managing RealeLibraries, approving RealeBooks.
Collage Maker. With free RealeWriter, a watermark is added to collages you create.
Hiding Printer Settings. This is useful for lab deployments so the students don’t fiddle with printer settings.
Password protecting preferences. This is useful for lab deployments so the students don’t fiddle with application preferences.
Shared computer. Prompts users for their email address before sending, so that many people can share a computer running RealeWriter without having to change the preferences repeatedly.
“New From Images...” creates a RealeBook from a folder of images. This is very useful for importing PowerPoint presentations or just starting a RealeBook with a folder of photographs.
“New As Template...” creates a new template RealeBook from an existing master RealeBook. Templates are useful starting points for creating new RealeBooks.
Saving images and sounds. Export images and sounds in a RealeBook to files for use by other applications.
“Save as Movie panel.” on Share panel. Export QuickTime movies, which can then be converted by QuickTime Pro for YouTube and other services. (New in RealeWriter 4!)
“Edit Template...” in “File” menu provides quick access to editing original template from which the current RealeBook was created. (New in RealeWriter 4!)
Added “Print Story Page” menu item. On Create panel, this will print a full page US Letter or A4 version of the page you are editing. (New in RealeWriter 4!)
